IC Markets has appointed Petros Kalaitzis as General Manager of IC Funded, the company’s proprietary trading division.
Kalaitzis is based in Cyprus and brings extensive experience from across the FX, prop trading, and trading technology sectors. Most recently, he served as Deputy CEO and Chief Strategy Officer at FunderPro. His previous roles include senior leadership positions at Tools for Brokers, The Trading Pit, NAGA, and Tickmill.
Earlier in his career, Kalaitzis worked at Saxo Bank Cyprus and began his FX industry career in 2012 as a dealer at eToro.
Speaking to PropInsider, Kalaitzis commented on his new role:
“I joined IC Funded just a few days ago, and I’m very excited to be here. Our focus this year is clear — to build and grow IC Funded and make it as successful as IC Markets.”
IC Funded operates as IC Markets’ proprietary trading program for professional traders. The appointment comes as brokers continue to expand into prop trading as a complementary business line within the broader retail trading ecosystem.
Separately, IC Markets has maintained its brand visibility through sports sponsorships, including a partnership with Australian tennis player Alexei Popyrin and its role as the official forex trading partner of the MoneyGram Haas F1 Team.
