Alpha Capital Group has established Alpha Prime, a new proprietary trading firm offering selected traders the opportunity to transition from simulation to live market trading with institutional resources. Alpha Prime will operate from a dedicated trading floor in London, providing traders who have demonstrated success on the company's existing platforms with access to live trading accounts, professional support, and institutional infrastructure.

Institutional-Quality Trading Environment

Experienced Leadership and Initial Trader Intake

Initially, Alpha Prime will onboard 10 traders under the leadership of James Johnson, who brings 30 years of experience managing trading desks. Traders will receive direct market access (DMA) to futures, derivatives, forex, and CFD markets, along with market-leading data, mentoring, and customized profit-sharing structures. All trading at Alpha Prime is conducted live, without any simulated trades.

Andrew Blaylock, Director at Alpha Capital Group, noted, "One challenge that traditional proprietary trading firms have faced is sourcing talented traders. We now have access to hundreds of thousands of traders trading various instruments regularly."

Robust Risk Management and Tailored Support

Alpha Prime's risk management protocols include continuous monitoring by risk managers using both manual and automated systems. Traders receive a monthly salary plus performance-based earnings, scalable capital allocation, and mentoring. The firm supports various trading approaches but favors rules-based and emotion-free strategies.

Alpha Capital Group paid out $80 million to traders in 2024 and aims to reach $100 million in trader payouts by the first quarter of 2025. Alpha Prime operates under regulatory exemptions but collaborates with FCA-regulated clearing companies.
