MetaQuotes will release a new beta version of MetaTrader 5 on January 23, 2026, according to the company. The update, released as beta build 5540, introduces performance upgrades, AI-related improvements, and platform refinements.

Improved ONNX Support and Platform Performance

MetaQuotes improved ONNX support in MQL5, allowing AI and machine learning models to run faster on GPUs with CUDA support. As a result, algorithmic and semi-automated strategies can execute more efficiently, especially in performance-sensitive trading environments.

The company also revised the ONNX library workflow. The platform now installs the library only when a program that requires it runs for the first time. This change reduces system load and improves overall platform efficiency.

Chart Rendering and Strategy Tester Updates

MetaQuotes refined chart rendering for the Blend2D graphics engine, which it introduced in a previous update. Text and analytical objects now display more clearly, improving chart readability for traders who rely on technical analysis.

The update also improves trading reports and increases Strategy Tester stability. These changes support traders and firms that depend on backtesting and optimization before deploying strategies in live or evaluation environments.

Web Platform Enhancements

Several updates target the MetaTrader 5 web platform as well. Traders can now see an estimated profit or loss value when they adjust stop-loss or take-profit levels directly on charts. This feature helps traders assess risk more accurately during trade management.

MetaQuotes also fixed several issues affecting the display of trading data on the web version. These fixes improve consistency across desktop and browser-based trading.

MetaQuotes invited traders to participate in the beta testing phase and provide feedback. Users can access the update through Help → Check Desktop Updates → Latest Beta Version.

The company will release the final MetaTrader 5 build after the beta testing phase concludes.
